Launching the Lifeboat

Flamborough lifeboat Friendly Forester launches down the slipway on a call out in 1974. The shore crew use wooden planks to guide the lifeboat into the water. This rare photograph by Paul Berriff is one of many from his Yorkshire coast collection and comes with a four inch white border and hand crafted black frame.
